Welcome to Mystic Knotwork!

We all have a love of the sea.  Some of us sail while others surf.  Friends swim and tan on the beach.  Of all the images of summers in the hot New England sun, the traditional sailor knot bracelet completes the picture.

Along with many other Nautical designs, my wife and I make the original sailor rope bracelet. Our family has made and provided sailor knots to museum, gift and tourist shops in Southern New England since 1960.  We have expanded to provide you with the perfect rope bracelet online.

Sailors, during long voyages, spent time creating art from the ropes, twine, and line that surrounded them.  Sailors knots can be decorative or functional.  Sennit braids were used to protect their running rigging, baggy wrinkles to protect the sails, and the monkey fist was used to pass ropes and dock lines.  The turks head originally used to safely grip a wet railing evolved into a bracelet shared as a love knot.  The sailor knot bracelet has become the badge of boat lovers and relaxing on the beach.

Share in the tradition today with our classic rope bracelet.  We welcome wholesale, wedding, special event, and fundraising inquiries.

While known for our sailor rope bracelets made from both 3x11 and 5x9 turks heads, we also make carrick weave mats, ocean plait mats, floating key rings, and other gifts for the sailors in your life.  Sailors also give these to their guests as they embark on their trips as a souvenier of the voyage.  Curiously these bracelets have attracted both the hippie community and are part of the true preppy uniform.  Everyone loves the turk head knot.

Thank you for visiting,.  We look forward to serving you and ask that you introduce us to your friends and family.  -Matt Beaudoin
